East Texas Medical Center, now known as UT Health East Texas, provides patients with access to cutting edge research and clinical therapies while training and educating the next generation of physicians and other health professionals. Grasshorse emulates the playful charm of classic comic strip aesthetic in this 2D animation spot in order to communicate the harmlessness of the da vinci single site gallbladder surgery, making it a more welcomed concept in the viewer’s mind.

Using Autodesk Combustion to assemble the spot, backgrounds were painted in the Adobe Creative Suite while character performance was animated in Toon Boom Harmony.
