East Texas Medical Center, now known as UT Health East Texas, provides patients with access to cutting edge research and clinical therapies while training and educating the next generation of physicians and other health professionals. The mission of “Rest of Your Life” is to alert viewers to the side effects and dangers from a lack of a good night's sleep. Through this :30 2D animated commercial, Grasshorse created an aesthetic that has a “bedtime story” appeal using digital watercolor effects in the backgrounds and character performance. Using Autodesk Combustion to assemble the spot, backgrounds were painted in the Adobe Creative Suite while character performance was animated in Toon Boom Harmony.
This spot won a Best of Category ADDY in Cedar Rapids-Iowa City, a Bronze Telly, and a Bronze Aster Award.
