East Texas Medical Center, now known as UT Health East Texas, provides patients with access to cutting edge research and clinical therapies while training and educating the next generation of physicians and other health professionals. Grasshorse designed this spot as one of four within a series utilizing shared character designs and aesthetics to generate a greater awareness about ETMC’s Emergency Care services. Leveraging the reusability of the character rigs, all of the animation was performed in 3D, using Blender animation software. Backgrounds were created digitally in Toon Boom Harmony animation software with the goal of emulating 2D animation charm. 

Considering there is no ability to communicate emotion through the characters face, much of the performance leverages a more pratfall pantomime to communicate the painful, but not too painful accidents.
